26/365: Urban Geometry

Looking north on 7th Street from Market. There is modern architecture, some more distinguished than others, and Louis Sullivan's 1892 masterpiece, the Wainwright Building. It was the first steel framed structure in St. Louis.

I love shots like this that really give you a feeling of a place. You get a real sense of the mixing of styles and time periods that seems to make up so many Midwestern downtowns (in different ways, of course).

The 3 buildings on the left look like they are see-trough! A very nice shot, too bad that you can't see the street though..
